We are seeking a dedicated and professional Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various destinations and ensuring timely deliveries that meet customer expectations.
Requirements
Job Duties & Requirements:
• Previous delivery experience is required with the ability to safely operate vehicles, including trucks and automobiles.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel usage while maintaining punctuality
• Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, adhering to safe lifting practices and managing heavy items when necessary.
• Build positive relationships with customers through professional communication, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including receipts, delivery logs, and route records.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during route driving.
• Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and automobile transportation; military driving experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe lifting practices, and heavy lifting techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
• Retail store experience or merchandising background is advantageous.
• Organizational skills for managing schedules, delivery documentation, and inventory control.
