We are looking for a Press Brake Operator to join our team!
Job Overview:
• The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining press brake machinery to bend, form, and cut metal parts according to precise specifications.
• Requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, adjust machine settings, and ensure high-quality, safe production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
Job Duties:
• Set up and operate hydraulic or CNC press brakes to bend, form, or straighten metal sheets and plates.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine correct machine setup.
• Select and install appropriate tooling (punches, dies) for each bending operation.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, protractors, micrometers) to ensure conformance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues during the pressing process.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on press brake equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace; follow all safety protocols.
• Document production records, materials used, and completed parts for inventory.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T callouts, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC press brakes.
• Experience with measuring tools and precision instruments.
• Knowledge of basic shop math, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control awareness.
Education Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or trade training in metal fabrication preferred.
