
ASAP Staffing
The Manufacturing Accountant performs the following duties but not limited to:
1.Review and complete transactions for daily production and consumption, resolve consumption issues and other usage variances
2.Prepare daily / monthly inventory reports, coordinate with plant management to explain and resolve variances
3.Ensure accuracy of plant operating expense reports and monthly accounting accruals including review of open purchase orders and GR/IR report
4.Track capital expenditures including expenses, asset / disposal forms, and maintain supporting documentation
5.Assist in the month-end close of the general ledger, prepare journal entries, management reports and account reconciliations
6.Assist in the preparation of the annual manufacturing budget and mid-year forecasts
7.Assist in physical inventories including but not limited to analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
8.Participates in various plant audits including calculating inventory for audits (Mock Recalls)
9.Backfill Accounts Payable including – receive, match, and code plant invoices, prepare new vendor requests and resolve accounts payable issues as needed
10.Management of recipes and bill of material data in SAP
11.Cross train in support of office personnel and the Regional Plant Controller to cover absences as needed
12.Any other duties as assigned by the Regional Plant Controller or other member of management
Requirements
(A)Education
•BS Accounting or related field
(B)Prior Work Experience
•3 years hands-on manufacturing accounting experience
•Experience with a fully integrated ERP system – SAP preferred
