Position Responsibilities:
• Operate lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to be able to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
• Operate a lift truck all shift long.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refer defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
• Move controls to drive battery-powered lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
• Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack materials.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure materials or products for transport to designated areas.
• Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
• Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts essential.
• Perform all duties in compliance to appropriate safety and security standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
Experience: One to two years related experience.
Computer Skills: Basic scanner technology.
Certificates & Licenses: Forklift Certification preferred.
