Hands on Shop Assistant needed to help with daily tasks on vehicles and other various shop duties.
Responsibilities:
• Keep service bays, walkways, and communal shop spaces clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Retrieve, clean, and organize hand tools, diagnostic gear, and heavy shop equipment.
• Move customer or company vehicles safely in and out of the shop bays and pick up parts as needed.
• Learn to handle minor services independently, including oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and battery replacements.
• Assist with diagnostic testing, and preventative maintenance.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic familiarity with common hand tools.
• Move customer or company vehicles safely in and out of the shop bays, and pick up parts as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; trade/vocational school attendance is a plus.
