Hands on Shop Assistant needed to help with daily tasks on vehicles and other various shop duties.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Keep service bays, walkways, and communal shop spaces clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Retrieve, clean, and organize hand tools, diagnostic gear, and heavy shop equipment.
Move customer or company vehicles safely in and out of the shop bays and pick up parts as needed.
Learn to handle minor services independently, including oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and battery replacements.
Assist with diagnostic testing, and preventative maintenance.
Qualifications:.
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic familiarity with common hand tools.
Move customer or company vehicles safely in and out of the shop bays, and pick up parts as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; trade/vocational school attendance is a plus.
