We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shop Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to technical drawings and specifications. The ideal applicant will possess extensive shop experience, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to precision and safety.
Job Duties
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding requirements and procedures.
• Fabricate metal components by cutting, measuring, fitting, and welding galvanneal sheet metal.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and rigging tools to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances
• Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment on the construction site or within the fabrication shop.
• Assist with assembly, pipe threading, rigging, and other mechanical fabrication tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and adhere to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards.
• Support quality control by inspecting welds for defects using measuring instruments and visual testing methods.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

• Skills
proficiency in MIG welding (galvanneal steel )
• Strong ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, pipe threading, plasma cutting, soldering, and machining operations
• Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials, fabrication shop procedures, and manufacturing standards.
• Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for precise measurements.
• Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks.
• Experience working with forklifts or other material handling equipment.
• Commitment to safety protocol adherence at all times during operations.
